The SilverSneakers® Fitness Program is an innovative health, exercise and wellness program helping older adults live healthy, active lifestyles. Get fit, have fun, make friends!
 

SilverSneakers offers valuable health and wellness benefits to its members — creating a great opportunity for you.

SilverSneakers is the leading fitness program designed specifically for older adults. It is delivered through a nationwide network of participating fitness locations such as YMCAs, Curves®, gyms, wellness centers and other facilities. See how our program can help older adults become more active.

The SilverSneaker program is offered through several participating insurance providers. Participation is based on meeting certain eligibility requirements. As a part of your membership, you are eligible to participate as a full privilege member as well as take advantage of our SilverSneaker specific programs below.

SilverSneakers Eligibility Requirements:
Must be medicare eligible (typically 65 or older)
Have an eligible card from a participating insurance provider. These providers include:

o HOP Medical Plan
o Highmark Freedom or Security Blue

If you believe your plan is included, but not listed, please stop by our Welcome Center to verify eligibility.

Classes Specifically Designed for our SilverSneaker members:

MUSCULAR STRENGTH AND RANGE OF
MOVEMENT:
Move to music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength and range of movement. Handheld weights, elastic tubing and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.
Wednesday & Friday 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Free for all Senior Members and SilverSneakers

CARDIO CIRCUIT:
Upper body strength work with hand held weights, elastic tubing and a ball are alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises.
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Free for all Senior Members and SilverSneakers

WATER EXERCISE:
Let the buoyancy of the water assist you through a variety of exercises focusing on range of motion and flexibility. Non- swimmers welcome.
Tuesday & Thursday 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Free for all Senior Members and SilverSneakers

PING PONG, BILLIARDS & AIR HOCKEY:
The ping pong, billiards and air hockey tables are available from 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Childwatch Room.
Free to Y members & SilverSneakers Participants.
