Y Fitness 101
Tuesday Evenings
7:30-8:15 p.m.
A comprehensive 4 week training program utilizing all areas of fitness at the Y. Training occurs in a group and is led by Y Personal Trainers. Participants will be instructed on proper use of cardio equipment, the Cybex resistance equipment, free weights and our Functional Fitness room. Program fee is $30.00 for members and is held on Tuesday evenings from 7:30-8:15 p.m. Program run continuous.
Teen & Tween Strength Training
Saturdays Nov. 5 - Dec. 17
10:00-11:00 a.m.
Our updated program is more comprehensive to provide students ages 11-15 the resources necessary to understand how to use the fitness facilities as well as how to perform various exercises. Program fee is $30.00 for members and is held held on 6 Saturdays from 10:00-11:00 a.m. This class is required for anyone under 16 who wishes to use the Fitness Center and Functional Fitness Room without a parent present.
Teen & Tween Personal Training
Powerlifting, competitive weightlifting and bodybuilding can be dangerous for maturing youth as is can cause injuries to growing bones, muscles and joints. Our teen/tween specific personal trainers will put together a comprehensive program to not only build muscle and endurance but also increase athletic performance through resistance training. We offer the option of group personal training as a way to allow teens to work with their friends/peers. Consult with our Director of Health and Wellness, Jason Miller, for more information.
