Why The Y?
How do I become a member?
Becoming a member is easy! You can complete the
Member Enrollment Form ahead of time and visit the Y at a time that is convenient for you. Please bring a photo ID. We'll talk with you about which membership would best fit your needs as well as your health and wellness goals. You can make your initial payment (the enrollment fee plus your first month's dues, pro-rated), we'll set up a monthly bank draft and issue you a membership card. You can start working out that day!

The YMCA of Indiana County is a non-profit membership organization committed to helping you become your best self, whatever your age, level of fitness or abilities. We've helped people pursue active, healthy lives for over 98 years. Today is the perfect time to make the YMCA a part of your everyday routine. 

How much does it cost to become a member?
YMCA fees vary depending on the category of membership you choose. There is a one-time joining fee and monthly membership fees. There is no contract so you can stop your membership at any time with 30 days notice. Membership categories include:

Youth Membership (3 - 17 yrs old)
Student Membership (18-24 years old and attending school full time)
Adult Membership (18 years and older)
Single Parent Family (Single parent with legally dependant child or children)
Family Membership ( two adults or parents with legally dependent children in the same household)
Senior (individuals no less than 65 years old)
Senior Family (at least one adult in the household is 65 or over)

What is included with my membership?
As a Facility Member, you can use all the facilities and participate in many of the programs offered - as often as you want! All group exercise classes are included in membership but there are additional fees for instructional programs, such as swimming lessons, youth sports and activities. Check out the Y's Program Guide for more information.
What happens if I can't afford the membership dues?
Through the generosity of donors, the YMCA is able to help if you can't afford the full membership fees. All YMCA members receive the same membership benefits, regardless of whether or not they are receiving financial assistance and your application is processed confidentially. Please speak to a Membership Representative at the Welcome Center for more information.

For Parents: Peace of Mind While You Work Out
Want to work out but don't have child care? You'll enjoy peace of mind knowing your child is having fun in our supervised Child Watch, for children ages 3 months –13 years. There is no extra fee but advanced reservations are required! Click here for our more detailed brochure as well as emergency contact forms (which need to be completed prior to using the facility).

Mon - Sat., 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Mon. - Fri., 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Do you offer family memberships?
Yes. The YMCA's Family Membership is for two adults and legally dependent children in the same household.
Can I use every YMCA with my membership?
Your membership card may be honored at more than 2,500 YMCAs across the country if they participate in the AWAY (Always Welcome at the YMCA) program. Some restrictions apply. Please check the YMCA you are planning to visit in advance. The Y of Indiana County is a participating Y.
As Much Support As You Need
We know how difficult it can be to Your membership includes an orientation to help you get started and learn how to use the equipment properly. No extra charge. No more going it alone.
Can I bring a guest with me?
You can bring as many guests as you wish if you are a member. Membership units can bring up to 4 guests/year for no charge and after that a daily rate applies. Please let your guest know they need to bring photo identification such as a driver's license and sign a liability waiver. If your guest is under 18, a parent or legal guardian will need to sign the liability waiver.
Affordable Membership Options for Every Budget
The YMCA welcomes everyone, regardless of gender, age, race, faith and income. No one is turned away for inability to pay. Financial assistance is available for families or individuals who are unable to afford membership fees.

Do you offer childcare while I exercise?
Absolutely! We offer Child Watch, a caring and fun environment where your young children can play and make friends while you work out. No additional fees apply but advance registration is required!

Mon. - Fri., 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Mon – Thurs, 5:20 am - 9:45 pm
Fri, 5:20 am - 8:30 pm
Sat, 7:15 am - 6:00 pm
Sun., 12:45 pm - 5:00 pm

Can I visit the Y for just the day?
If you come with a member, yes. If you are visiting from out-of-town, please contact the Director of Membership and Program Development to assist you with your needs.
