GROUP EXERCISE

Group exercise and aerobic classes are free to members at the YMCA of Indiana County. Group classes are a great way to mix up your workout routine, meet some friends or try something new. Guys, these classes are a great way to challenge yourself and break through a plateau.

Our classes include a wide variety of styles and purpose. Whether you're an active older adult looking to keep moving or you desire a class that offers strength and resistance, flexibility, some cross training for another activity or something that is so fun it won't feel like a workout, we have a group exercise class for you. Group Exercise Classes

ABS, BUNS & GUNS: Look your best with this fun and energetic class designed to build muscle tone and lose fat in those hard to reach areas.

BODY SCULPTING: Rev-up metabolism by building lean muscle. A conditioning class that sculpts your muscles and increases muscular strength and endurance.

BOOT CAMP X: Get a true boot camp workout from a true United States Marine! Come find out why they are called "the few and the proud". Class may occur outdoors.

BOX & BURN : Get ready for a real kickboxing class taught by MMA fighter Donnie Fulmer. Learn correct technique while improving flexibility, gaining lean muscle, increasing cardio respiratory endurance and having fun!

BURN 300: Burn 300 is designed to work out every muscle fiber in your body to the max! Utilizing strength, coordination, motor skills, and cardio we will target both fast and slow twitch muscle fibers. You'll get the best body possible in the least amount of time. Class may occur outdoors.

CARDIO CIRCUIT: Upper body strength work with hand held weights, elastic tubing and a ball are alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching and relaxation exercises.

CORE FITNESS: A mix of stability ball, Pilates, ballet and yoga exercises all designed to help strengthen your core and develop better tone, balance, and posture.

FIT/MIX: A low impact workout combining floor routines with the use of weights, stability ball and held ball.

HI-LO AEROBICS: A fat burning cardio workout that uses both high and low impact aerobic moves, along with some strength training and stretching.

INTERMEDIATE STEP AEROBICS: A fat-burning cardio workout using traditional step choreography.

LO-IMPACT AEROBICS: A fat burning cardio workout that focuses on low impact aerobic moves.

MUSCULAR STRENGTH AND RANGE OF MOVEMENT (MSROM): Move to music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength and range of movement. Handheld weights, elastic tubing and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

PILATES : Pilates provides improved posture, increased lung capacity and strong, sculpted muscles. Its emphasis on all around, complete fitness supports a variety of fitness goals, from building strength to increasing flexibility.

SATURDAY SURPRISE: Enjoy a different fitness class and instructor every week. Check out our schedule.

SENIOR GYM CLASS: A low-impact cardio workout combined with strength training, stability ball exercises, X-biking and stretching.

STRENGTH & ENDURANCE: Alternating between strength (more weight, fewer reps) and endurance (less weight, more reps) along with step moves.

SPINNING ARMS & ABS X: Using our state of the art Xbikes, we infuse a cardio workout and upper body stabilization into a full body experience synced up to music.

STEP MOTIVATION : An intense fat burning cardio workout using advanced step choreography. (This class is recommended for those with step experience.)

SUPER SENIORS : Physical exercise with great nutrition is essential any time in your life. It can be hard to carry on this wholesome way of life after retirement, simply because your life has transformed. Our Super Senior Class focuses on tow essential aspects of physical fitness:
- Strength Training: Constructing and keeping muscle will assist you to keep the points you appreciate while decreasing aches and pains.
- Balance: Focusing on balance is vital as we age. By engaging and building our stabilizer muscles your body will grow strong and decrease the chance of injury.

TOTAL BODY BLAST : The perfect complement to anyone's workout. Total Body Blast provides muscle tone and conditioning to virtually every muscle age group. Total Body Blast utilizes a combination of body weight and a variety of exercise equipment to sculpt your body.

tRANSFORMATION: This class is the cure to the ordinary fitness routine. Using functional training and principles of athletic conditioning, this workout will test your limits to achieve unparalleled results. Synced to inspiring Christian music and positive biblical affirmations, be transformed physically and spiritually into all Christ intended you to be.

WAKE UP CALL : A touch of Yoga (stretching), a dash of Pilates (core abs) and a blast of cardio all in a 30 minute session that will wake you up, get you moving and set you up for an awesome day!

YOGA: This class combines flexibility, breathing and strength building poses to develop lean muscle and work on relaxation.

ZUMBA: A fusion of hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind workout.
